Rental Marketing

Tenant Screening

We utilize Buildium’s tenant screening services, which conduct a soft credit pull, a thorough background check, and an eviction history review. This comprehensive approach ensures that we make informed decisions when selecting tenants for our properties.

Inspections

​Our intake process involves conducting a comprehensive walk-through of your rental. We also complete a property condition inventory form that documents pertinent information about the property. Inspections are scheduled in advance with residents.  We also conduct inspections during the move-out and leasing period as needed.

Rent Collection

We currently operate a manual system where tenants can drop off or mail their rent checks., we are excited to announce that the next three months, we will be transitioning everyone to electronic payments for greater convenience. All accounting is managed Buildium, allowing us to easily generate reports and track payments. 

Maintenance

We work with a team of independent contractors and handymen. Property owners are not involved unless there are major repairs. We offer white glove service so our property owners don’t need to be involved and can truly collect passive income.

Enforcement

It is important for all tenants to adhere to the lease rules to ensure a harmonious living environment. Failure to comply may result in the tenant held responsible for any damages and could lead to eviction. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a respectful and safe community for everyone.

We go above and beyond when it comes to rehabs and even some owners/investors use us to manage flips. We’re a small company so we can put in a level of attention to detail when it comes to more major repairs that bigger companies can’t.

I don’t normally write reviews but after seeing the one review written I need to. I have rented from North Star for 2 years. If I’ve called them to fix something they have taken care of it. Granted, sometimes the first repair needed a follow-up but thats how it goes sometimes. I haven’t had any issues. Their properties are beautiful well taken care of and they leave you alone.
